INDOOR POOLS & WATERPARKS
Wateparks and indoor pools are a special subsection of our built system work. In particular, these types of buildings pose a number of hurdles as regards to airflow distribution, humidity control, human comfort, and health and safety issues.
Our analysis tools allow us to evaluate the performance of the design ventilation
system with regards to each of the above. The CFD analysis provides results which
can be displayed visually through 2D plots and 3D animations. This makes the interpretation
of the data clear and highly intuitive. With the use of such data, recirculation
zones and high velocity jets that have a major impact on human comfort can easily
be identified. Potentially high humidity levels near windows can be identified and
solutions found such as to avoid condensation in cold weather. Various chemicals
released from the water may be harmful to bathers if proper ventilation is not provided.
